Jenn’s Workout Smoothie

As a woman in my early 30’s I noticed that my metabolism just isn’t the same anymore.  I started eating things in moderation such as sweets (sigh) and exercising a bit more. One day I was watching this infomercial about a machine that works as a nutrition extractor called the Nutribullet. I love how the machine pulverizes all the ingredients into a nutritious smoothie and nothing goes to waste. I especially love the fact that it’s super easy to clean compared to the juicers sold in stores. I would like to share with you a simple smoothie recipe I make after a great workout to help quench your thirsty muscles. Each ingredient includes a breakdown of how it will benefit to a healthier you. Treat your body like a temple. Cheers!

Jenn’s Green Smoothie (All organic ingredients)

-One cup of spinach (rich in Phytonutrients to help fight again cancer and…you saw what it did to Popeye)

-One pear (high in fiber aka colon cleanser and packed with vitamin C)

-One banana (acts as a creamer and is high in potassium)

-teaspoon of flax seeds (high in Omega-3 and helps lower cholesterol)

-one cup of water
