How Eventful: A Weekend at Disney World’s New Fantasyland

As a seasonal pass holder, I have had the privilege to go to Disney World countless of times. Many times, only riding one or two rides (sometimes none) and just eating the entire trip. If you had the option to eat in 11 different countries in Epcot, you’d do the same too! Disney has the ability to make you imagine and transport you to any location through the 5 senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch and definitely TASTE.

chandelierMy friends and I have been counting down the days for the opening of the New Fantasyland. I have to say Disney manages to continue to amaze me with its new tricks up their sleeves! From the interactive show of Enchanted Tales with Belle to the really fun playground/waiting room for Dumbo, Disney has really outdone itself again.

With a new and improved land that means new and improved dining! Fortunately for us, we were able to go and sit down at the Be Our Guest Restaurant before opening day!

When you enter the restaurant, you can’t help but be in awe. PERFECTION. Before you even walk through those doors, you feel like you are in the tale of Disney’s adaptation of Beauty & the Beast. Ordering the food is a unique experience in itself where you can select your choices by pressing it on a computer screen. You have three choices in dining rooms: the Beast’s room, another room has Beauty & the Beast dancing at the center and the last houses these grand chandeliers hanging from the ceiling with snow falling outside the window. I found myself with many other guests taking photos of each square inch of every room!

When you find a place to sit, they bring the food to you. I had ordered the Grilled Steak Sandwich as my main dish. The Grilled Steak Sandwich is prepared with Garlic Butter Spread (that caught my attention) and Pomme Frites (french fries). The sandwich hit the spot after a long day of walking the ptheroseark in the Florida sun. I also love to stray away from the average burger you would normally get at a theme park. The “Pomme Frites” were done before I was even halfway done with my sandwich. Though what stole my taste buds was dessert! I ordered the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake, which was a vanilla sponge cake with strawberry mouse filling and cream cheese icing. The presentation is delightful. As it may look petite and a two bite cupcake, fear not – it will definitely satisfy that tummy of yours!

As of right now, I was told that reservations for dinner are pretty much booked for months on end so if you want to try the dinner menu — BOOK NOW!
