How Eventful: A Good Time for A Good Cause

While we’re firm believers that you never really need an excuse for a tasty meal or great drink, doing it for a good cause is always a reason to ask for seconds! Our “How Eventful” series will feature events and happenings you definitely don’t want to miss out on. This time we’re featuring an event that was as beneficial as it was fabulous… win-win!

“Masquerade in the Gardens”

A few weeks ago, The Collective Plate was invited to the inaugural “Masquerade in the Gardens” hosted by the Pinecrest Gardens to benefit educational and cultural initiatives provided by the establishment to it’s community. One of their most popular programs is “Arts in the Garden,” a six-month performing arts festival composed of 30 theatre, dance, classical music, & popular music showcases.

Guests arrived on the red carpet while serenaded by Venezuelan recording artist, Thania Sanz. The party itself was held under the stars on the property’s Lakeview Terrace. Renowned jazz star, Debbie Orta kept the crowd entertained while the party started on the property’s Lakeview Terrace. Drinks were provided courtesy of Bacardi, tasty gourmet eats from Macy’s Catering, and desserts by Lily’s Patisserie, Sinful Sweets, and Filled & Frosted. Quite the spread to keep everyone happy! And if that wasn’t enough, the party continued to the meadow where stilt walkers, fire-eaters, and jugglers joined the patrons as they danced to the sounds of the Continental Brass Band and emcee DJ Mike Pileggi.
